Implementing Virtual Care Effectively in Your Veterinary Practice
Virtual care is becoming an increasingly valuable tool in veterinary medicine, offering new ways to improve access to care, strengthen client relationships, and support practice growth. Still, many clinics struggle to implement it in a way that feels seamless, compliant, and financially sustainable.
In this webinar, Dr. Sharon Quinn and Jeremy Greven from VetWise will join Greg Toner from VetCPA to explore how veterinary practices can incorporate virtual care and telehealth to enhance both patient outcomes and overall practice performance.
They’ll share practical strategies for integrating virtual care into your existing workflows, engaging your team, and creating systems that make virtual care easy and effective for both staff and clients.
Presenters
Greg Toner, CPA, CA, TEP, CLU | Principal, VetCPA
Greg Toner is a CPA with over a decade of experience working with owner-managed businesses, startups, and high-net-worth individuals. With deep roots in the veterinary industry, Greg founded Vet CPA to provide accounting and financial support tailored specifically to independent veterinary practices and locums across Canada.

Dr. Sharon Quinn | Veterinarian | VetWise Co-Founder | CEO
Dr. Sharon Quinn is a clinical veterinarian with two decades of experience as a practice owner. She owns two companion animal hospitals in the greater Toronto area, and is co-founder and CEO of VetWise (formerly Smart.Vet), a 24/7/365 virtual veterinary care company that works primarily with veterinary hospitals.
VetWise was built to improve work/life balance and prevent burnout by supporting veterinary teams in areas facing increasing demand and workforce shortages, assist urban practices with differentiating themselves to remain competitive in today’s market, and retain business in clinics while supporting continuity of care. VetWise also provides access to care for animals in remote communities without physical veterinarians. Dr. Quinn sits on the board of the Veterinary Virtual Care Association.
Her eldest son Michael has deep roots in the veterinary profession as well, as co-founder and COO of CoVet.
Jeremy Greven | President of VetWise
Jeremy Greven leads technology and operations at VetWise. He's a proven operator who founded and bootstrapped Prompt Alert, a healthcare communications platform that grew 1,262% before its acquisition by Stericycle in 2014. Jeremy then spent five years as CTO of their billion-dollar communications division, servicing thousands of clients across North America.
Over 15 years in healthcare communications, he solved the same challenge VetWise now addresses for veterinary practices: how to handle after-hours calls without losing patients to competitors. At VetWise, he oversees the telecommunications infrastructure, AI systems, and operational platforms that enable licensed RVTs and Veterinarians to answer your phones as seamlessly as your own staff, building technology that extends clinical teams rather than replacing them.
